DEUX MOI QUARTET

Deux Moi has been included by JAZZIT magazine in the 100 Greatest album of 2024

After his debut album produced by the historic Italian record label Philology Records, Federico Milone’s ensemble has become a group that regularly performs at numerous festivals and clubs across Italy, Europe

“I heard Federico playing for the first time at the Massimo Urbani Prize 2017 in Camerino, where I was invited as President of the jury with Kurt Rosenwinkel.

As I heard his first notes I thought ‘nobody could possibly win but him’. And it happened. I was impressed by his lucidity while playing and the confidence on the stage.I soon noticed his excellent technique and if you add it to a natural musicality there you have a musician, even if very young, gifted and complete on every front. With his album the artist also proves to be a good composer: in his records there’s a clear link to the greatest jazz musicians but with a deep contemporary vein”.
